The Dream

In our dreams of the future we imagine a honeycomb-like ecologically built construction, with independent units for all kinds and sizes of (combined) living and working. A couple of people, families or individuals buy themselves into one or more ‘beehive’ units, while other units are rented out to an artist, a midwife practice, an ecological catering company and a small scale kindergarten – for example. A large vegetable garden belongs to the property, as well as a wilderness playground. A small river crosses the terrain as does a walking trail connected to (inter)national long distance walking paths. There is space for a few huts or tents of visitors. A central, common space can be rented for workshops, company trainings or parties. At the estate entry a large bike barn is available, because most transport is done by bike. Events and office-outings for outdoor relaxation take place and people tend to rediscover themselves while working, eating, sleeping and relaxing at our ‘treehive’.
